Too Good to Just Have Three – Edo’s Cakes

Today, during my third (recent – I think it’s my forth actually) visit to Edo’s Cakes, I had the one dessert I have been dreaming about from the beginning – a dulce de leche creation that looks divine.

I enjoyed a strawberry cheese cake and a carrot cake, but the dulce de leche has been on my mind, and it tastes just as good as it looks. As I ate it, I noted the flavors and texture struck a balance. It was just the right amount of creamy, and sweet, but not over the top sugary the way dulce de leche can be, often making it hard for me to finish.

The size of his creations make eating less a calorie counting opportunity, and more chance to savor.

He has free wifi and I work online when I visit…and I glance at the options, planning the dessert I’ll try next.

I have my sights set on his pecan pie.

I don’t know, do you think he’d tell us? I can ask him for an interview and make that the focal point, lol. Let’s see if he says yes. The next time I visit I’ll tell him about this post and your comment.

    Hi Suzanne,

Edo’s cell is on his facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/EdosCakes

I can’t wrangle an interview. I should qualify that. An interview that includes the recipe.

I’d say give him a call. He’s quite nice, you never know, you might get the recipe. Are you sure you want it though? I can’t imagine wanting to bake something that good. I’d gain 10 lbs just thinking about buying the ingredients while in the supermarket.

    Hope that helps.
